History

Bennett Distribution Services was founded in 1988 as a port services company. The operation was designed to provide marshalling services and support the logistics needs of Bennett Motor Express customers in the Port of Baltimore.

In the years that followed we branched out into contract warehousing and manufacturing support services for a world leading agriculture products OEM. As this operating partnership has matured, our scope of services has widened and our expertise in all key areas of manufacturing support has been expanded and finely tuned as a core competence of our 3PL business.

With our purchase and subsequent expansion of CRL Warehouse and Logistics Company in 2007, BDS established a shared space warehousing position in Augusta, Georgia to serve that region’s thriving manufacturing companies and paper mills. In 2010, we opened a drill pipe yard and distribution center in Houston, Texas to support the natural gas and oil industry in the southwest.

Emerging from the recent recession, Bennett is financially strong and well positioned to expand our 3PL enterprise to meet the needs of our growing customer base. We hope you will allow us to become your logistics partner and become a part of our history in the exciting years that lie ahead.
