Oil Field Support

In our 17 acre pipe yard and distribution center in Houston, TX, BDS provides handling, quality control, inventory management and distribution services to our oil industry customers. Shipper ASN’s notify BDS of inbound shipments coming by inland carriers, rail or ocean vessels. We make necessary arrangements for transloading, direct discharge, drayage and schedule transportation for these time–sensitive receipts. When shipments arrive at our yard, trucks are unloaded and pipe, tubing and bar stock are taken to the lay down area to be counted, tallied, quality control inspected and received. Each piece is marked to identify heat and product numbers, as required, then moved to assigned rack locations for storage according to each customer’s segregation, storage and processing specifications. Tool joints, couplings and collars are palletized and stored in a designated area of the yard apart from the pipe racks.

Orders are taken and processed for shipments to mills or processors for threading, heat-treating or cutting or job sites for immediate use in drilling operations. We pull by linear feet, pieces or joints as our customer’s direct, then load and secure each trailer for transportation to their destinations.

We are in the final stages of initiating an Oil field transportation service to extend Bennett’s service envelope and better serve our valued oil industry customers.
