Yard Management

• AYM & Inventory Control
• Morning update to Management regarding Yard & WHS Capacity, Yard Activity, Carrier Pool Status, Detention Management
• Afternoon update to prepare for following days business, number of LTL receipts and leftovers
• Yard Audits to manage inventory accuracy
• Inventory reconciliation YARD vs. SAP
• OSD Management to resolve un-receipted inventory (because of ASN issues, documentation problems, etc.) to ensure receipt process is followed; includes daily communication with buyers to resolve any issues so product can be receipted in a timely manner and will not inhibit production
• Assist tactical group by faxing schedule agreements to planners by part number
• Communicate directly with vendors to obtain information that is needed to complete inventory receipts
• Safety meetings that focus on open issues, and general health and safety to maintain a safe workplace
• Row audits for the warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy
• Investigate discrepancies in receipts/inventory
• ABC Analysis of warehouse layout to ensure efficiency
• Reorganization of yards as necessary to ensure efficiency
• Create SOPs for processes that are accomplished by BDS personnel
